Just a little bit about The Village of Caledonia
Did you know...
A railroad at one time passed through Caledonia. It is now the Strong Bridge/Long Prairie Trail, the 14 miles are great for biking, hiking or running. The path spends from Capron, IL (Boone County) at County Line Road to Roscoe, IL (Winnebago County) ending at McMichael Road.
At one time the village included a train depot, hotel and general store.
