TREE BRANCHES OVER THE ROADS
Tree Branches: If you have tree branches that are hanging over the streets, Please be mindful of the trucks and buses going down the roads and trim them up accordingly. If the tree is on your property and common area of your property you are responsible for keeping them trimmed. ComEd is only responsible you trim around their wires.
WEEDS BLOCKING VIEWS NEAR ROADS
Weeds: If you have weeds that are lining the streets.
Please manage them. If the weeds are on your property and common area of your property you are responsible for keeping them cleared. Such as Queen Ann's Lace,
tall grass, etc. For the safety when turning on corners.
DEBRIE ON YOUR PROPERTY
Keep your yard tidy, it will help prevent rodents, bugs, standing water, all types of things.
The Village of Caledonia is a beautiful little village, let's all work together to keep it that way.

burning yard waste: Ordinance Article iv. open burning
Burning Yard Waste ONLY
Though it is tempting to burn other household or personal items in a backyard fire pit situation, Residential open burning is the burning of clean yard waste, grass clippings, weeds, tree trimmings, etc. it is against the Village of Caledonia Ordinances. Fines may be enforced
Be a good neighbor
Please be considerate of your neighborhood. When burning damp leaves or wood it gives off lots of smoke and be a bit stinky. Be aware of the conditions, especially if it's even a little windy.

CHAPTER XIX MOTOR VEHICLES - Village of Caledonia Municple Ordinances (page 101-151)

If a VECHICAL or TRAILER is on your property, or the public road IT MUST have a valid State of Illinois sticker and be able to run and move.
ARTICAL XIX. NUISANCE VEHICLE (page 143 Municiple Ordinances)
14.1901 NUISANCE DECLARED. The maintenance of a vehicle in a haphazard and unsightly fashion and in such a number as to be an aggravation or annoyance to surrounding property owners and in view of the general public, is declared to constitute a public nuisance.
14/1902 PENALTY. Any owner of lessee or any other person in control of the premises and the owner or lessee or any other person in control of the motor vehicles who permits a public nuisance, as declared in this article, to exist or who maintains such a public nuisance shall upon conviction be punished by a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500). Each day the violation continues shall constitute a separate offence. The violator shall be issued a Notice to Appear in Circuit Court in Boone County.

PROPOSED STOP SIGNs, speed limits Signsand SPEED HUMPS
Review map below and join us at the JUNE Board Meeting.
The Board is proposing additional STOP signs, Speed Limit signs (throughout town) and Speed Humps (Main St.) to be placed throughout the village.
As you all have likely noticed the traffic has increased and vehicles are speeding through the village. For the safety of the community the board hopes the additional signs will slow them down.
The RED dots indicate current STOP signs.
The PURPLE/BLACK dots indicate proposed additional signs.

There is NO turning LEFT onto Caledonia Road from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Traffic is now directed to the RIGHT down Randolph Street, LEFT on Oak and
LEFT onto Main Street, turn LEFT or RIGHT onto Caledonia Road.
